WATER TANK FOR MEASURING A SPATIAL OVERTOPPING RATE TO CONFIRM THE STABILITY OF A RUBBLE MOUND BREAKWATER

PURPOSE: A water tank for measuring a spatial overtopping rate is provided to examine the spatial overtopping property of a rubble mound breakwater by precisely measuring the three-dimensional overtopping rate.;CONSTITUTION: A water tank for measuring a spatial overtopping rate is made of acryl and comprises a valve, a vacuum pump(d), and a storage tank(f). The valve is installed on the back side of the measuring water tank and measures the quantity of water overtopped per one time. The vacuum pump moves the water collected in each section(a) to the storage tank so that the weight of the water collected in the storage tank is measured. After completion of one-time measurement, a drain valve(g) of the storage tank is opened to drain the measured water and prepare the next experiment.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2011
