PURPOSE: A device and method for monitoring a grinding state of a glass panel is provided to optimally grind a glass plate by controlling the grinding target location of the glass plate according to the location information of foreign materials and scratches.;CONSTITUTION: A device and method for monitoring the grinding state of a glass panel comprises a position measurement part(110), a current measuring part(120), a memory part(130), and a controller(140). The position measurement part measures the location of the glass plate ground by a polishing device(10). The current measuring part measures the current flowing in the polishing device. The memory part stores a reference value about the current for each grinding position. The controller determines a defective grinding state by comparing a measured current value for each polishing position to a reference current value for each polishing position.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2012
