PURPOSE: An optical fiber fusion connecting apparatus with improved discharge stabilization and an optical fiber fusion connecting method are provided to change a position change of a discharge central part using magnetic force, thereby improving an optical fiber fusion connecting quality.;CONSTITUTION: A camera(20) photographs a discharge electrode(10) and an optical fiber. A discharge position adjusting apparatus is comprised of an electromagnet which is forming a magnetic field in a fusion connecting part where including the camera. The discharge position adjusting apparatus is comprised of a plurality of electromagnets(30a,30b,30c,30d). A plurality of electromagnets is installed in a position which is symmetrical as a radial shape from the discharge electrode as the center.
