Optical access networks are being constructed at a rapid pace around the world, and the demand for fusion splicers that allow low splice loss to be achieved without a high level of skill is growing in the FTTX market. On the other hand, price competition among FTTX service providers is growing intense, and there has been a strong demand for new technologies that can reduce network construction time.
