PURPOSE: An adaptation 2 step voltage regulator and a 2 step voltage regulation method are provided to reduce the power consumption of a circuit by adjusting center voltage according to one among an input voltage indicator, an output voltage indicator, and a fixed reference signal.;CONSTITUTION: A voltage regulator changes input voltage into center voltage. The input voltage is smaller than a maximum value or is similar with the maximum value. A linear regulator(20) changes the center voltage into output voltage. A center voltage controller(30) adjusts the center voltage according to one among an input voltage indicator, an output voltage indicator, and a fixed reference signal.
