PURPOSE: An intermediate and a rosuvastatin calcium salt are provided to prepare a rosuvastatin precursor of high purity at high yield.;CONSTITUTION: A compound (B) represented by chemical formula 1 is a starting material for manufacturing rosuvastatin calcium salts. In chemical formula 1, R^3 is one selected from the group consisting of methyl, ethyl, isopropyl, and phenyl. A method for preparing the rosuvastatin calcium salt represented by chemical formula 2 is preformed using the compound (B) represented by chemical formula 1 as a starting material.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2012
