EMULSIFIER COMPOSITION FOR DIESEL EMULSION FUELS CAPABLE OF IMPROVING THE PHASE STABILITY OF EMULSION PARTICLES BY INCLUDING AN ANION-CATION COMPLEX-BASED EMULSIFIER

PURPOSE: An emulsifier composition for diesel emulsion fuels is provided to vary the size of emulsion particles in a range between 10 and 1200nm and to uniform the emulsified particle of water by mixing a synthesized complex surfactant with an existing emulsifier or surfactant.;CONSTITUTION: W/O type diesel emulsion fuels are obtained by mixing diesel fuels and water. An emulsifier composition is used for stabilizing the W/O type diesel emulsion fuels is based on anion-cation complex-based emulsifier. The content of the anion-cation complex-based emulsifier is between 30 and 50%. The emulsifier composition includes a compound, represented by chemical formula 1, and the compound is mixed with nonylphenol ethoxylate, polyoxyethylene fatty acid ester, span-80, and butyl cellosolve. In the chemical formula 1, the R1 to the R4 are of C1 to C18 liner or branched alkyl group, alkenyl group, or the mixture of the same. The n is between 1 and 10.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2012
