PURPOSE: A device for preheating submerged nozzle and a method thereof are provided to improve the thermal efficiency in preheating by simultaneously preheating a submerged nozzle when preheating a turndish.;CONSTITUTION: A device for preheating submerged nozzle comprises a housing(110), an inlet pipe(120), a discharge pipe(130), an injector(140) and a support unit(150). A part of the housing comprises an opened internal space. The internal space accepts the lower part of the submerged nozzle(25) installed at a tundish(20) through an opened part. The inlet pipe is communicated in the housing with the internal space. The discharge pipe discharges the air inserted through the inlet pipe and the flame preheating the tundish.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2012
