PURPOSE: A mercury-selective fluorescence sensing compound and a chemical sensor containing the same are provided to be used in environmental, biological, and medical field.;CONSTITUTION: A mercury-selective fluorescence sensing compound is denoted by chemical formula 1. In chemical formula 1, X is halogen atom; R2 is -COOH, -PO_3H_2 or -SO_3H; n is 3-10 integer; and R3 and R4 independently are hydrogen or methyl group. A mercury-selective fluorescence sensing chemical sensor contains the compounds and water. The chemical sensor contains ethanol, chloroform, tetrahydrofurane, or acetonitrile.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2012
