PURPOSE: A BCH codec in which data operation rate is improved is provided to execute encoding and decoding at the same time by separately forming a memory for encoding and a memory for decoding. CONSTITUTION: A BCH codec is formed in a flash memory in order to correct errors of data when inputting and outputting data to the cell array(200) of a flash memory. The BCH codec comprises an encoder(110), a decoder(120), an encoding buffer(130), a syndrome buffer(140), and a ziehen buffer(150). The encoding buffer stores parity data according to block. The encoding buffer stores write target data of sequent block. The syndrome buffer stores read target data among data which is saved in the cell array according to block. The ziehen buffer stores the read target data which is transferred to the decoder from the syndrome buffer and the read target data which is error-corrected by the decoder.
