MANAGEMENT SYSTEM USING GIS FOR MOUNTAIN-CLIMBING

PURPOSE: A system for managing mountain climbers using a geographic information system(GIS) is provided to rescue the mountain climbers by verifying the location and the distress occurred time of the mountain climbers. CONSTITUTION: A global positioning system(GPS) is loaded in a terminal(10) and implements communication between the GPS and a server(20) with or without wires. The server receives the location information of the terminal. Database is in connection with the server and saves the received information. A real-time monitoring unit(40) receives the terminal information of mountain climbers and saves received information in the database through the server. The real-time monitoring unit monitors the real-time location of the mountain climbers.
