SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR ESTIMATING CEREBRAL BLOOD FLOW AND OXIDATIVE METABOLISM WITHOUT HYPERCAPNIA USING SIMULTANEOUS MEASUREMENTS OF NEAR INFRARED SPECTROSCOPY AND FUNCTIONAL MAGNETIC RESONANCE IMAGING
PURPOSE: A system and a method thereof are provided to accurately measure a cerebral blood flow and a brain oxygen metabolic rate without hypercapnia by using optimized model parameters. CONSTITUTION: A signal input part(101) simultaneously receives a BOLD(Blood Oxygenation Level Dependent) signal and a near infrared ray spectrum signal. A correlation coefficient calculation part(102) calculates a correlation coefficient between a cerebral blood flow and a brain oxygen metabolic rate by using the BOLD signal and the near infrared ray spectrum signal. A blood flow measuring part(104) measures the cerebral blood flow from the near infrared ray spectrum signal. A oxygen metabolic rate measuring part(105) measures the brain oxygen metabolic rate by using the correlation coefficient and the cerebral blood flow.
