Method For Increasing Efficiency of End Point Memory in USB Devices

PURPOSE: An end point memory efficiency increasing method within a USB device is provided to reduce size of a necessary memory by an efficient use of an end point memory, thereby decreasing chip size.;CONSTITUTION: If an IN token for a transmission end point EP3 is sent from a host, transmission is processed. If the EP3 is designated for isochronous transmission, a request for the transmission end point EP3 becomes extinct at a time when data is transmitted. If the EP3 is designated for transmission such as control, interrupt, and bulk, the request for the transmission end point EP3 becomes extinct at a time when an ACK signal is received from the host. A buffer segment BUF3 assigned to the EP3 is returned.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2010
