CAISSON BREAKEWATER FOR PREVNTING STEM WAVES AND METHOD FOR CONSTRUCTING THE SAME

PURPOSE: A caisson breakwater for preventing stem wave and a construction method thereof are provided to ensure the prevention of stem wave without right-angle installation with respect to the main inflow direction. CONSTITUTION: A caisson breakwater for preventing stem wave comprises box-type unit caissons which are arranged in a row. Each unit caisson has a front slope surface which provides an imaginary normal line for main inflow wave direction. The angle of the front slope surface is determined within a stem wave prevention range, considering the actual installation direction and main inflow wave direction.
