PURPOSE: A method and a system thereof are provided to easily process mixed waste acid of acetic acid and nitric acid after separating hydrofluoric acid. CONSTITUTION: A method for separating the hydrofluoric acid from mixed waste acid includes next steps. A cation contained compound and silicon powder are injected into the mixed waste acid in which the hydrofluoric acid is contained. The hydrofluoric acid is separated to the fluorine precipitate of M_x Si_y F_z form through a selective deposition process. A silicon powder which remains in the fluorine precipitate is removed by injecting new mixed waste acid to the separated fluorine precipitate. The fluorine precipitate from which the silicon powder is removed is separated. The remaining mixed waste acid is transferred to the first step. The fluorine compound is finally passed through a powder dryer(50).
