PURPOSE: A high-performance copper alloy with excellent strength and electric conductivity at high temperature for electric and electronic components and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to improve the heat resistance of the copper alloy and maintain electric conductivity. CONSTITUTION: A copper alloy comprises nickel 1.2-2.0wt%, silicon 0.3-0.4wt%, magnesium 0.05-0.15wt%, copper, and impurities. The copper alloy maintains 60%IACS or more of conductivity till 500C. The composition consisting of nickel 1.2-2.0wt%, silicon 0.3-0.4wt%, magnesium 0.05-0.15wt%, copper, and impurities is solved and melt, thereby forming an ingot.
