LIGHTPATH ESTABLISHMENT APPARATUS IN WAVELENGTH DIVISION MULTIPLEXING PASSIVE OPTICAL NETWORK

PURPOSE: An optical path establishment apparatus in wavelength division multiplexing passive optical network is provided to reduce the number of requested optical elements and to minimize optical loss in order to improve the quality of communications. CONSTITUTION: A broadband light source outputs optical signals of A-band and B-band. An optical circulator(20) transfers the optical signals of A-band and B-band. An optical multiplexer performs multiplexing of the optical signals of A-band and B-band outputted from the optical circulator. An optical demultiplexer performs demultiplexing of the optical signals of A-band and B-band outputted from the optical circulator.
