PURPOSE: A composition containing wild edible greens extract or fraction for preventing and treating postmenopause syndrome is provided to promote expression of a promoter containing ERE(Estrogen Responsive Element) and improve estrogen activity. CONSTITUTION: A composition for preventing and treating postmenopause syndrome contains Disporum uniflorum extract, Humulus japonicus extract or fraction thereof as an active ingredient. The extract is isolated using water, low alcohol of C1-C4, or mixture thereof. The fraction is n-hexane, ethyl acetate, or n-butanol fraction. A health food for preventing and treating postmenopause syndrome contains the extract or fraction as an active ingredient.
