PURPOSE: A coal and quicklime mixing apparatus, and a moisture removal and desulfurization method of coal using quicklime is provided to improve the combustion efficiency and the fuel stability of coal inside a furnace by removing the moisture from the coal. CONSTITUTION: A coal and quicklime mixing apparatus(100) comprises the following: a housing(110); a coal inlet(111) for inserting coal with the moisture; a quicklime inlet(112); a lower nozzle(115) spraying air to the lower side of the housing; a mixing unit(120) mixing the air, the coal, and the quicklime; a evaporated steam outlet(130) discharging the moisture removed from the coal by heat generated from the heating reaction of the quicklime and the moisture; and a mixing outlet(140) discharging the dried coal, and calcium hydroxide generated from the chemical reaction of the quicklime.
