PURPOSE: A carriage module for a passbook printer equipped with a sensor sensing the mount whether or not of a ribbon cartridge is provided to reduce the unnecessary repairing cost by preventing the damage of a printer print head through stopping the operation of a passbook printer when a ribbon cartridge does not mount.;CONSTITUTION: A carriage module for a passbook printer equipped with a sensor sensing the mount whether or not of a ribbon cartridge comprises a sensor(110), a driving gear(120), a first power transmission gear(130), a second power transmission gear(140) and a mounting portion(200). The sensor senses the mount whether or not a ribbon cartridge(300) mounted on the sensor is the mounting portion of a cartridge module(100). The driving gear is connected to the motor installed inside the passbook printer and the rotation driving power of the motor is transmitted. The first power transmission gear is connected to the driving gear and the rotation driving power of the driving gear is transmitted.
