A method of converting the energy of the sea current into a force that propels the vessel, which consists in the flow of the sea current around several circular cylinders with a vertical axis of rotation, which are installed in the transverse through channels of the ship's hull, including the supply of the sea current to the through channel from the side of the ship, rotation of the circular cylinder around the vertical axis in the direction coinciding with the direction of the sea current, the exit of the sea current from the through channel from the opposite side of the vessel.
