FIELD: life saving equipment.;SUBSTANCE: invention refers to life saving equipment, namely to individual reusable life saving equipment. A unit for people descend from buildings and constructions in fires and other emergency situations, accommodates two pivotally connected metal plates between which there is a halyard, a halyard compressor by approaching plate surfaces by means a threaded connection placed on plates, and a safety belt fastener. One of plates is supplied with a groove which comprises a halyard, while another has a flange entering into the groove and compressing the halyard through the groove to the first plate. The plates have handles for compressing the halyard with the flange entering into the groove, while the safety belt fasteners are placed symmetrically from two sides of the unit and represent two through holes in the plates.;EFFECT: increased halyard compressive force and effective control of descent speed of a saved person.;7 cl, 6 dwg
