METHOD AND DEVICE TO LIMIT IN-TRAIN FORCES

FIELD: transport.;SUBSTANCE: set of inventions relates to train operation, namely, to limitation of in-train forces for prevention of train and cars damages. Proposed device comprises first element to determine train or train section play and second element to control traction force or application of traction force to train proceeding from conditions of play. It comprises also device to determine the state of auto coupler of train consisting of one or more locomotives and cars. Locomotives and cars are interconnected by auto couplers. Proposed device comprises first element to define natural acceleration of cars and second element to determine general acceleration of entire train and ratio between natural acceleration of cars and common acceleration. Note here that said ratio specifies car play state. Proposed method consists in defining car plat state. For this, working parameters of train are determined, as well and equivalent slope is determined from working parameters to determine actual slope of track whereon train runs and to define play state from equivalent and actual slopes.;EFFECT: limitation of in-train forces to prevent train damages.;19 cl, 13 dwg
