FIELD: chemistry.;SUBSTANCE: leaf explants are cultured on a liquid culture medium which is a modified Murashige and Skoog culture medium. The modification is changing concentration of NH4NO3 to 3300 mg/l, FeSO4·7H2O to 27.8 mg/ and thiamine-HCl to 0.1 mg/l, replacing metaboric acid with orthoboric acid in concentration of 6.2 mg/l, adding Na2EDTA·2 H2O in concentration of 37.3 mg/l, mesoinositol - 100 mg/l, saccharose - 3000 mg/l, 2,4-dichlorophenoxy acetic acid - 10 mg/l, indolyl acetic acid - 0.8 mg/l, kinetin- 0.5 mg/l, cefotaxime - 100-300 mg/l. Inoculum density is equal to 104-105 protoplasts in 1 ml of the medium, and saccharose is excluded after regeneration of the cell wall.;EFFECT: obtaining Hindu lotus phytomass in vitro in volumes required for industrial use.;1 tbl
