FIELD: power industry.;SUBSTANCE: into one of reactor channels on the level of reactor active zone there installed is experimental device including the investigated fuel elements, and annular actuating element enveloping it and consisting as to height of three rigidly connected parts. Extreme parts of the element have equal length and include the same number of neutron-absorbing material. Into the second channel there installed is the actuating element also consisting as to height of three rigidly connected parts; at that, lengths of those parts are equal to lengths of the appropriate parts of actuating element in the first channel. At that, only the middle part includes absorbing material. Reactor reaches its capacity, actuating elements are moved simultaneously in both channels at the same specified speed in the direction providing the replacement in reactor active zone of one extreme part of each actuating element with the other one, and reactor continues operating in the same mode or its shutdown is provided in compliance with the regulations.;EFFECT: enlarging experimental capabilities of reactor.;6 cl, 1 dwg
