The robot has an elongated chassis (2) provided with two wheels, and two sets of cleaning rollers arranged parallel to a driving direction of the robot. A double water tank consists of a cleaning water tank (6) and a waste water tank (19). Electronic modules for a drive (11) of the wheels are arranged between the cleaning water tank and the waste water tank, and are arranged for automatic control of the robot. The cleaning rollers are provided with a surface stream for resin cleaning of gymnasium floors, and are fixed at ends using a hook-and-loop fastener. An independent claim is also included for a method for resin cleaning of gymnasium floors using a cleaning robot.
