The compressor has a compressor impeller arranged in a compressor housing (10) with respect to an air flow path between an air inlet and an air outlet (12). A supply air opening (50) selectively supplies supply air into the housing for increasing air quantity independent of a drive, where the air quantity is provided by the compressor. The supply air opening is arranged between the compressor impeller and the air outlet in the air flow path, such that the supply air is an air flow supplied to the air outlet, where the air flow is escaped from the compressor impeller. An independent claim is also included for a turbocharger comprising a turbine.
