The watch has a gong (4) comprising a beam that surrounds a movement unit and extends in a plane (x, y). A gong holder is integrated with a plate, and the gong is fixed on the gong holder. A hammer (6) strikes the gong to produce vibration in the gong, where the hammer is arranged to strike an impact surface (8) of the gong along impact direction inclined with respect to the plane of the gong. The gong is made of precious metal or precious metal alloy. The impact surface is formed by a flat part arranged on a portion of the beam.
