The support i.e. plate (1), has an edge comprising a central recess (3) so as to create plane surfaces (5). The surfaces are fixed under a glass of timepiece by gluing or welding to allow better transmission of vibrations of the support to the glass, where the support includes a non-neutral vibratory transfer function of audible sound spectrum produced by striking gong when the gong is subjected to an impact of hammer to modify the sound produced by the gong. An excitation edge receives a heel of the gong, and a transmission edge is fixed on the fixed part of a timepiece. An independent claim is also included for a timepiece.
