The device has groove-shaped longitudinal channels (25) for a cooling agent produced at an area of a front part (2a) of a central opening (2) in a base (1). A stop screw (20) is provided with a central cooling agent channel (22) and fastened in the rear part (2b) of the central opening. A cylindrical tool-shaft (3) having a front surface (3a) is supportable at the stop screw. The cooling agent channel is connectable with the longitudinal channels by an area (24) limited by a passage surface (2c) of the central opening on one side and by the front surface of the tool shaft on another side.
