The device has a sliding pinion (10) for following rectilinear displacement of an indexing system such that the pinion is kinematically connected and not kinematically connected to an indication indicating unit when the system is found in indication correction and normal operating positions, respectively. The system is formed of a helical spring (9) arranged in a drum (6) against an indexing cylinder (5), and indexing elements such as arbor (4) and indexing pin (7), that are arranged in contact with asymmetrical teeth situated on lateral sidewalls of the cylinder, respectively.
