The support has a housing body (1) providing a retaining region (2) for supporting a container (13). The retaining region is aligned in a circle-shaped floor surface (3) and formed by a wall (4), where the floor surface is partially surrounded by the wall in a cylindrical shell-like manner. A detecting system i.e. electronic-optical system, is provided with the wall, and is connected with a time measuring device. The time measuring device is connected with a signal generator. The detecting system is provided with a transmission unit and a receiving unit.
