A method for the production of high temperature - superconducting (hts) volume current conductors having improved properties, which comprises:(i) preparing separate solutions of nitrates of bi, pb, sr, ca and cu based on water in a molar ratio of 1,74 to 1,84: 0,34 to 0,4: 1,83 to 2,0: 1,97 to 2,2: 3,0 to 3,13 and then to mix the solutions, in order to form a single solution;(ii) adding silver in a molar ratio of 0,6 to 1,8 in the form of a silver nitrate solution based on water to the single solution (i), in order to obtain a resulting nitrate solution;(iii) spray drying of the obtained in step (ii) nitrate solution resulting, in order to obtain a spray dried powder;(iv) calcining the spray-dried powder at a temperature in the range from 800°C. + 10°C. in air for a period of time in the order of magnitude of one hour, a homogeneous of calcined powder for sintering to obtain;(v) cold isopressing of the calcined powder in a large tube and a length in the..
