The device has a plate provided with a glue layer (3) e.g. double-sided tape. A magnet (5) is provided at the plate for temporarily holding thin laminar articles i.e. notepads. The plate is formed as a plastic plate (1) and a metal plate (2). The magnet is undetachably fastened to the plastic plate for temporarily holding the articles over a cord (6). The plastic plate is connected with the metal plate by the glue layer and by a locking unit. The cord is formed as a plastic cord fed to the plate. The magnet is formed as laminar or other geometrical form and provided with an opening.
