The arrangement has a steering gear (8) arranged outside a front axle center (M) when viewing in a vehicle longitudinal direction i.e. x-direction. A subframe (2) is arranged and fixed at a body of a motor vehicle i.e. passenger car, either in accordance with an attachment position such that the gear is present in a driving direction (FR) seen behind the center i.e. near a vehicle driver. The subframe is arranged and fixed in accordance with another attachment position at body of the vehicle such that the gear is arranged in the direction seen before the center that is away from the driver.
