The system (2) has data-processing medical devices e.g. medical information system (4a), picture archiving and communication system (4b), anesthetic system (4c), patient monitor (4d), integrated medical system (4e), medical workstations (4f-4h), interlinked with data interfaces (30) by an enterprise-service-bus (14). Data-technical functionality (28) of the devices lies at the interfaces in the form of a web service (28) based on a type of an integration server (22) operating a service-oriented architecture (32). A radio frequency identification tag (40) is attached to the devices.
