Apparatus for aftertreatment of exhaust gases of diesel engine of e.g. passenger motor vehicle, has pressure booster that is arranged in compressed-air supply line for adjusting desired pressure level
The apparatus has a reduction catalyst (2) i.e. selective catalytic reduction catalyst, to reduce nitrogen oxides constituents in exhaust gases from an internal combustion engine (1). The catalyst is connected to an exhaust gas pipe (3) of the engine. A reduction agent-supply device (4) is connected to the pipe and attached to a compressed-air supply line (5) so that reduction agent is supplied to the exhaust gases in the pipe before the reduction catalyst by the compressed air. A pressure booster (6) is arranged in the compressed-air supply line for adjusting a desired pressure level.
