The apparatus has a reduction catalyst (2) for reducing nitrogen oxide constituents of exhaust gases and connected to an exhaust gas pipe (3) of an internal-combustion engine (1). A reduction agent-supplying device (4) is arranged upstream to the reduction catalyst and comprises an injector (6) for injecting a reduction agent, where the injector is controllable by pressure of a compressed air supply line (5). A diaphragm limits a pressure chamber in the injector, where the pressure chamber is connected to a reduction agent-supply line (9) and/or a reduction agent-supply tank (10). The reduction catalyst is a selective catalytic reduction (SCR) catalyst.
