The deformation element (1) has deformation areas (2,3) and a connecting area (6) for connecting the deformation element with two cross beams of a vehicle. The deformation element has another connecting area (7) for connecting with a vehicle frame. The latter connecting area is formed as channel hole (9) for the screw connection. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a bumper system with a bumper supporting frame; and (2) a method for manufacturing a deformation element.
