The device has stator blade rings (4) supported on a rigid central axis (3). The stator blade rings and rotor blade rings (5) are attached inside each other such that the rings form a comb-like arrangement. A gas inlet channel (12) ends at an inner rotating centrifugal tube (1) over an inlet opening (8). A gas outlet opening (13) communicates with an exhaust opening (9) in a wall of the rigid central axis. An outlet opening (10) is provided in a wall of the centrifugal tube and a gas removal valve (11) is provided in a wall of an outer pressure container (2) for outputting heavier fraction.
