The suspension has a horizontally-aligned spring strut (7) connected to a supporting wall (9) of a vehicle body (2) in a pivotable manner parallel to a vehicle transverse axis at an inner end (8) and connected to a lever arm (5) of a bell-crank lever (4) at an outer end. The lever is rotated around a chassis or body-fixed pivotal point for transferring vertical movement of wheels to the spring strut.
