The reamer has a thread molder including a polygonal interface (3) for connecting a carrier body (1) and a reamer head (2). The head is engaged in a front recess of the body, and is fixed at the body by a coaxial fixing element (5) i.e. screw (9). The interface has cylindrical coupling surfaces with rounded multi-edge polygon contours complementary to each other, where diameter of the contours amounts to 7.4 mm. The head is made of standard hard metal, where a ratio of diameter of the head to the polygon diameter is reduced by the polygon diameter about 25 to 50 percent against known ratios.
