The fastening system (10) has holding components, which are mounted, particularly adhered to the rear side of the photovoltaic module (12). The holding components have an elastically deformable metallic hook element with a clip. The clips provided for fastening the photovoltaic module to the backing strip (14), are mounted in bar-shaped holding sections (26) extending in the longitudinal direction of the backing strip. The movement of the photovoltaic module is balanced relative to the backing strip by the elasticity of the hook elements.
