The battery has cell connectors (3) arranged on single cells (4) that are electrically interconnected in series and/or parallel. The connectors are arranged at a cell connector plate (1) in a form-fitting, material-fitting and/or force-fitting manner. A cooling channel structure (2) through which heat-conductive medium i.e. liquid or gaseous coolant, flows, is integrated in the plate, and the connectors are heat-conductively connected with the plate. The connectors are made of electric copper or thin copper sheets.
