The apparatus for electrophoretically depositing a varnish layer on an object, comprises a first anode (2) having a first part (3) and a second part (4), a container for the reception of a solution of first anode and the object, and a second anode (2', 2'') having a first part and a second part, where the layer of the solution is galvanically deposited on the object. The first part and second part of the first anode are connected to a first adjustable power supply (5) and a second adjustable power supply (6). The apparatus for electrophoretically depositing a varnish layer on an object, comprises a first anode (2) having a first part (3) and a second part (4), a container for the reception of a solution of first anode and the object, and a second anode (2', 2'') having a first part and a second part, where the layer of the solution is galvanically deposited on the object. The first part and second part of the first anode are connected to a first adjustable power supply (5) and a second adjustable power supply (6), and the first part and second part of the second anode are connected to the first adjustable power supply and the second adjustable power supply, where the first and second power supply are separately adjustable. The first and second parts of the anode are arranged to same or opposite wall of the container. The first and second parts of the anode are mounted to a common electrically insulating substrate. The first and second parts of the anodes have a surface, which is measured corresponding to the object to be coated.
