The inspection equipment (1) has a steam generator (2) provided for diagnosis of steam-containing drying gases (3). Pipelines (8, 6) are provided for supply and discharge of the drying gases to the steam generator. A container is filled with condensates for passage of the drying gases. Temperature sensors are provided for treated and untreated drying gases. An overflow is provided for disposing the condensates. Another pipeline supplies water into the steam generator. A blower is provided for the steam-containing drying gases. An independent claim is also included for a method for diagnosing convective evaporation of moisture and water in dryers.
