The exchanger has a pipe line (6) provided for vapor-containing dryer exhaust to a heat and/or energy generator (1). An exchanging part (4) is provided with direct exchange of material e.g. gas such as methane and carbon-di-oxide and/or liquid such as water, with a condensate (11) that is arranged in the exchanging part. A condensate circuit is provided with a heat exchanging part for removing the heat, and the exchanging part is provided in series connection in the condensate circuit. A removal line (3) feeds flue gases to the exchanging part. An independent claim is also included for a method for creating a liquid heat carrier.
