The method involves supercharging and intercooling an internal combustion engine by coolants, and supplying coolant from a cooling pump to the heat exchanger back to the internal combustion engine. The fuel consumption of the internal combustion engine is artificially increased, when waste heat requirement is increased, particularly when high cabin heat requirement exists. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a device for operating a cooling and heating circulation system of a motor vehicle; (2) an internal combustion engine comprises a turbocharger and an intercooler; (3) an intercooler deactivating device for a motor vehicle; (4) a vehicle line comprises a supercharged internal combustion engine; (5) a boost-pressure control unit for a supercharged internal combustion engine; an exhaust-gas return system for a supercharged internal combustion engine; and (6) a method for cabin heating power increase for a motor vehicle.
