The device has two blow-mold supports (21) including a movable base part (22) and two blow-mold support parts. A movement of a base section is hydraulically or pneumatically linked with movement of the blow-mold support parts. A hydraulic position measuring element (26) is coupled with a position changing element that changes a position of the blow-mold support parts. A base part actuator (23) positions the base part on the blow-mold support parts, and the measuring element and actuator are hydraulically coupled with each other. An independent claim is also included for a method for blow-molding a container.
