The solar collector has one or multiple optical elements, which concentrate incident sunlight and have an absorber (2) arranged on a heat pipe (4) drained by a heat distribution medium (3). A cylindrical lens (1) is provided, which focus the sunlight on a focus line, where the heat pipe is partly positioned in or close to the focus line.
